I think I can start to relate to the song a bit more compared to even 2 weeks ago... lol
Styx is from Chicago, IL. They started in 1961 as The Tradewinds, & eventually switched the name (a couple times before, but the major one -) to 'Styx' when they signed to Wooden Nickel Records. Their self-titled debut came in 1972, & was followed by 3 more LP's before they got nationally noticed with their song "Lady", which was originally released on their 2nd album "Styx II" (a Chicago station started playing it in '74, & it eventually resulted with their album "Styx II" being certified 'gold'). Styx then signed on with A&M for their 5th LP "Equinox". 4 more albums came after before their triple platinum concept album "Paradise Theater", released Jan. 19th, 1981. "Caught in the Act" was their final [& live] album to be released before they went on a hiatus before coming back together in 1989 ("Edge of the Century" came in 1990; followed by 3 more LP's - the latest "Big Bang Theory", released in 2005). Lineup changes came in the following number of years, but they are still touring (& for that matter, just last month they announced they were going on tour with Yes - the tour kicks off on July 4th). This song is from their album "Pieces of Eight"; released Sept. 1st, 1978.
