Zac Brown himself was raised in Dohlonega , GA. He was born July 31st, 1978, & it was when he was 8 that he began learning classical guitar. Having co-owned & ran Zac’s Place, a lakeside restaurant, he began to pursue music as a solo artist in 2004. Bassist John Hopkins & fiddler Jimmy De Martini joined him to form the Zac Brown Band, later to include current guitarist/organist Coy Bowles & drummer Chris Fryar. In 2009, one year after their major label debut “The Foundations” [Atlantic ] was released, Brown launched his own record label (for other artists, of course) Southern Ground Artists, Inc. In addition to the label, he also co-wrote & released the cookbook “Southern Ground” with follow band member Coy Bowles & also a photographer by the name of Jeffrey Skillings. The Zac Brown Band’s sophomore studio release came Sept. 21st, 2010 – it was called “You Get What You Give”, & that too was released on Atlantic . Beyond those releases, there has also been 2 live albums, an EP, & 2 independently released albums (those two before being signed). This song is from “You Get What You Give”.
