"Fall Like Roses" - by of Verona (top 11 of '11 - 7 pt. 2)

So here's the 2nd part of #7...
"Castles" - another fabulous opening track
of Verona is based out of Los Angeles, CA; with members coming from Toronto, ON, & Brooklyn, NY.  The 3 piece band set up a page through PledgeMusic.com in 2010 to help fund them through their early stages with getting the band to SXSW, & putting together a debut EP, with some of the funds going towards brain cancer research (as Mandi Perkins' - lead vocals & the Toronto connection - brother was diagnosed a few years ago with inoperable brain cancer).  Since then, of Verona has been touring & are preparing to release a new EP - with MTV/Sony - entitled "White Apple" this winter.

"Fall Like Roses"* was their 7 track EP released sometime July 2011, & really highlights their abilities as a band.

One of my friends showed me their music a while back, & I came back to listen to them again, & became hooked.  The album has some wonderful sonic elements to it, creating a well-constructed ambience.  I look forward to what else they can put forward with the new EP...
