Come Thou Fount of Ev'ry Blessing - as performed by Mosquito Fleet

Excellently done.
Mosquito Fleet is based out of Marion, IN.  Their name comes from the actual term 'mosquito fleet' - its use began in the war of 1812, says Wikipedia & has been used in many cases since.  But the instance they're looking at is from the World War II - I'll post the what they said (it's their bio on their MySpace) under all of this…  They've had 2 releases - their first: an LP: "All Those Who Wander Are Not Lost", released March 23rd, 2010; & they put out their 2nd release "Swings & Cloves EP" on Jan. 11th, 2011.
& for a tiny bit of background on the song: it was written by Robert Robinson in 1757 when he was 22 years old.

"
IT IS LATE SPRING OF 1940..... Turbulence and chaos of the Second World War overwhelm the Allied troops trapped on the beaches of the English Channel in Dunkirk, France. Demise seems inevitable as the Luftwaffe looms overhead and the German infantry closes in. There is no way out..... However, for roughly a week’s time, a fog fills the air preventing the German fighter planes’ vision of the sea. The notoriously violent English Channel grows still offering conditions calm enough to sail on, even for a modest sailboat. The tranquility of the sea is pregnant with expectation..... During this time of unprecedented conditions, an assembled fleet of nearly a thousand civilian boats depart from British soil. They rescue hundreds of thousands of Allied soldiers from their imminent death. Many of these men later return victoriously to the French coastline on D-Day. The impossible heroism of these insignificant vessels of deliverance earned a legacy that would remain for years to come; they are called the “mosquito fleet.”

& I was going to post a video from YouTube of different 'covers' of the song, but I couldn't choose... just look it up & you're likely to find a beautiful version SOMEWHERE in there...  ;)
